Zebra R170XiIIIPlus RFID Smart Label Printer/Encoder from Weber
Weber’s R170XiIIIPlus from Zebra Technologies is a wide-web RFID label printer/encoder that produces smart labels compliant with Electronic Product Code (EPC) Gen 1 and Gen 2 protocols. And because its firmware is upgradeable to support new protocols, users are assured that they can seamlessly upgrade to future RFID protocols as needed.
The R170XiIIIPlus encodes case- and pallet-level identification on very thin, UHF inlays embedded in pressure-sensitive smart labels, then instantly verifies the accuracy of that information.
The system also prints text, scannable linear and 2-D bar codes, and/or graphic images on labels at a resolution of 203- or 300-dpi. Labels from 2” to 7.1" wide and 39” long can be dispensed by the printer at speeds up to 12” per second.
Built of heavy-gauge steel on Zebra’s time-tested Xi platform, the R170XiIIIPlus is intended for high performance and operational durability in demanding environments.
The R170XiIIIPlus also provides XML-enabled printing to permit direct smart label printing and encoding from leading ERP applications.
Pressure-sensitive smart labels embedded with various EPC UHF RFID inlays are supplied by Weber. The same labels also are recommended for high-quality direct thermal or thermal-transfer imprinting. Compatible thermal-transfer ribbons also are available from Weber.
