Weber’s 170XiIIIPlus thermal/thermal-transfer printer offers high-resolution, 203- or 300-dpi printing for bar code compliance labeling and other wider-label applications.

In addition, for companies that need a printer now but might migrate to RFID technology in the future, the 170XiIIIPlus is available in an optional RFID Ready model that can be upgraded to a multi-protocol RFID encoder that will support EPC-compatible and other standards. Read more.

This wide-web model handles pressure-sensitive labels and tags up to 7.1” wide and 39.0” long, and it prints in-spec bar codes, variable text, crisp graphics and logos at speeds up to 8.0” per second at 300 dpi, or 12.0" per second at 203 dpi. Labels can be printed and dispensed one at a time, in multiple strips, or a higher volume of labels can be rewound inside the unit in preparation for automatic application.

The 170XiIIIPlus offers great flexibility with superior print results, making it an ideal unit for on-site bar code labeling for automotive, retail and other compliance applications. Possessing dual 32-bit microprocessors, the 170XiIIIPlus is equipped for high-speed label production in continuous, 24-hour duty cycles.

The printer has 16 MB standard RAM, enhanced by an innovative PCMCIA Memory Card Interface that offers font storage capabilities, along with other options. It operates in conjunction with Weber’s exclusive Windows-based Legitronic® labeling software package, which simplifies the designing, editing, printing and RFID encoding of labels.

In addition, the 170XiIIIPlus is available with an XML-enabled printing option, which permits direct label printing from leading ERP systems.

Weber also manufactures an extensive line of pressure-sensitive and RFID smart label materials for both direct-thermal and thermal-transfer printing modes, plus supplies compatible thermal-transfer ribbons. The clear side panel on the 170XiIIIPlus makes it easy to monitor supply level
