Weber Marking System debuts the versatile Alpha 86 label applicator Arlington Heights, IL—Weber Marking Systems, Inc., introduces its Alpha 86 label applicator. The system applies pressure-sensitive labels using the wipe-on method, where a label automatically is peeled from its liner, then gently and securely is affixed to a carton or product. Accommodating labels up to 5.90" wide and 39.0" long at speeds up to 200 feet per minute, the Alpha 86 maintains a label placement accuracy of ±0.03". Wider-web configurations are also available. This highly versatile system can be quickly and easily adjusted to either a right or left hand set-up, and oriented to label the tops, sides, or bottoms of cartons or packages. The precision stepper-motor eliminates the problems of skipped products or double labeling. Additionally, the durable cast aluminum construction assures the unit can withstand harsh industrial environments.
