Medical Device Labeling Systems
Weber offers a complete line of pressure-sensitive and RFID label printer-applicators and preprinted label applicators to label products or packages directly on the production line. Regardless of your application, we have a system that is right for you, including two-label, adjacent-panel application and wraparound application, plus a system that prints, encodes, verifies and applies RFID smart labels. Ideal for labeling fragile materials, many of our systems provide non-contact or gentle-contact application with precise placement of ± 0.03".
Our sturdy standard applicators apply labels at speeds up to 2,000 linear inches of label web per minute. We provide a choice of printheads for our printer-applicator models that are capable of high-resolution printing at speeds up to 16.0" per second. The systems can all accommodate a wide range of pressure-sensitive label sizes. RFID encode-apply systems also are available.
For on-demand printing of labels off-line, we offer an extensive selection of thermal/thermal-transfer printers. These printers can handle labels and tags from 0.5" to 9.0" wide at print speeds ranging from 2.0" to 16.0" per second.
The thermal/thermal-transfer printers are available in models with 203-, 300-, or 600-dpi print resolution, making them perfect for producing the crisp text and scannable bar codes required for medical device packaging. Models that combine printing and RFID encoding also are offered.
Running each labeling system is our exclusive Legitronic labeling software. Fully compatible with many other database, design, and word processing applications, this high-powered, 32-bit software package helps you quickly access files for printing use instructions, expiration dates, batch numbers, and other required information– including RFID encoded information.
Plus, the software comes complete with all popular bar code symbologies to help you comply with FDA and HIBCC requirements.

We manufacture our own pressure-sensitive labels and RFID smart labels. Our durable labels can withstand moisture, sterilization procedures, and other harsh environmental factors. With over 120 different combinations of facestock and adhesive, we can create a label that is functional and attractive, including custom-made die cut labels for test kits.
Weber additionally supplies compatible thermal-transfer ribbons, which provide high-density printing and excellent bar code scannability.
